Here are the settings I use for Counter Strike Global Offensive.

First off let me say I was like most of you and used the default options for a while and had the bright green however I think these settings help me see the crosshair better and help my aim as well.

First settings I like is under Options-Game Settings:
Crosshair Style Classic Static
Crosshair Color Green (I change this later on anyways)

Second settings are typed into console (the menu you get to by pressing ~)
We are going to start with these 4 lines which will turn the crosshairs bright pink, yes I said pink, it by far stands out better than any other color crosshairs I have tried and most of the pros use it as well.

cl_crosshaircolor 5
cl_crosshaircolor_r 255
cl_crosshaircolor_g 0
cl_crosshaircolor_b 255

Okay now next we are going to make the crosshair style better.
Like the last step these settings are typed into console.

cl_crosshairthickness 1 (it sets the thickness of the crosshair lines)
cl_crosshairgap 0 (changes the gap size of the crosshair lines)
cl_crosshairdot 1 (adds i tiny dot in the middle of the crosshair lines)
cl_crosshairalpha 255 (this makes the lines bold and stand out more)

There you have it, awesome crosshairs that will definitely help you become a better shot.

Now for that bonus setting I promised in the title of the post. You know that annoying Counter Strike video you have to wait to Esc out of every time you are loading the game to play? Well there is a way to get rid of it. In steam go to your game library, right click on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and click on Properties. Then click on SET LAUNCH OPTIONS… and type in -novid
